Matt is an experienced and trained accountant with degrees and certificates in Accounting, Business Administration, and Marketing from the University of Louisville and the University of Texas at Austin.
In order to better understand and assist his clients, he continued his education with time in culinary school, film school, sustainable agriculture food systems, and software engineering.
He is an avid traveler and supporter of local restaurants, bars, and performance venues. Matt strongly believes these establishments are the cornerstones of every community, and are the makers of our shared culture and experiences. They are where we propose to our spouses, celebrate with our friends, and honor our family members. What is a town, city, or neighborhood without these institutions?
Matt sought ways to showcase and help these businesses by creating YouTube videos about some of his favorite places. However, he wanted to do more, and knew they would be better served by his accounting expertise versus his filmmaking hobby.Â
Matt spent eleven years at Microsoft in accounting, operations, and I.T. roles. He decided to leverage this experience and skillset to help the communities he was most passionate about. Matt left Microsoft in May 2025 to pursue this ambition and "Biggers & Company" was born. (Update - we're happy to announce his old Microsoft team has become a client!)
In addition, Matt is a cinephile and lover of music, and seeks to offer his services to those in all creative fields. The world needs more great art and great food, and Matt wants to help make that happen.
His other professional highlights include work in non-profits, data analytics, renewable energy, and education.
Matt and his wife have been together since 2010, and he proposed in their favorite neighborhood restaurant.
